Quick Update
Just wanted to do a quick update. I finished my Game Design & Gameplay class a few days ago and got an A. Yay! I've since started Character & Object Animation.
We are still laid off but my boss called and asked if I could come in this past Thursday and Friday to answer the phones because both of the office ladies wouldn't be in or something. So, I did that. It will help with our trip at the end of this month. Our court date is the 29th so we're going to leave on the 25th, drive to Rolla, MO, spent the night in a hotel, and drive the rest of the way to Ohio on the 26th.
I'm really worried about our budget though. I hate to even think this, but I think we are going to have to delve into our savings. I so don't want to do that. My boss said things are looking good for June. As much as I don't want to go back to work (and scared I won't remember my job!) I'll be very happy. Hopefully we can get back to working full time. If we do, we'll still be extra frugal with our money so we can set aside at least $1000-$1500 a month to save up big time. Hubby and I figured it out. If we set aside $1000 from each pay period ($2000/mo.) for 18 months we could pay off our house in Ohio.
Tomorrow I have an appointment to get my car worked on- brakes, alignment and two new tires. This all needs to be taken care of before our trip. I also won't have to worry about my car for a year or so (besides oil changes and such).
Oh, I also now have dental insurance (yay!) so now I can get my teeth checked out. I know I have a couple cavities that need to be filled. Before we moved to New Mexico I had a dentist appointment that I accidentally missed to get cavities filled. There was no time to make an appointment before we moved so it was just never done. Next thing is to get my eyes checked out again. Jon is the one who really needs to see the dentist and optometrist (eye doctor) because of his diabetes. Unfortunately his current health insurance sucks so we are trying to find some good insurance who will actually cover him. It's so frustrating... I recently sent an application to BCBS of NM to have him added to my insurance (they denied him when we applied the first time). I'm praying they agree to cover him this time. I don't think they will but I really hope they do. We have so many medical bills it's ridiculous. Oh, I also need to schedule and appointment with the OBGYN because this whole pelvic mass deal. I went to the hospital and got a CD with my CT Scan and also the radiologist report. The report says I have a possible 4 cm adnexal mass (whatever that is) and that a transvaginal sonography would be beneficial. Well... I haven't heard from the doctor's office AT ALL about it so I'm not going there anymore. They obviously don't care. I'll go to someone who specializes in pelvic masses and such. I've been procrastinating though... I'm worried about money. I think I will call tomorrow though because it might take a long time to get in to see the doctor.
Ok, this is definitely not a quick update now. LoL I will leave you with the cover art I made for my Game Treatment document.
