As I predicted, yesterday was the shittiest day ever. It was the world against me. Not only did I not sleep and was tired, but everything that could possibly go wrong did. I had issues with my equipment all day and night; and because I was constantly working on that (and napping between samples), my log fell behind. So, I had to haul ass to get everything up to date before report time. It gets better. Not only was I struggling with my work and dog-ass tired (can a dog's ass get tired?) I got sick. I'm friends with the driller and they told me to come up to the floor and get some pizza. Heck yeah, pizza! The driller offered me one of those Full Throttle energy drinks because he knew I was tired. I had never had one of those before so I decided to try it. It tasted ok. I'll do a mini review in a minute.
Alright, so, I got some free dinner, something that might help wake me up, and by this time I had gotten my equipment to work correctly. Smooth sailing from here right? NO. My stomach started making noises. I thought it was just my body digesting. The drink helped with my bodily tiredness but not my eyes. So, in between samples I would lay down to sleep 15-20 min. at a time. At about 2am I got up to get my log caught up before report time. I had saved half of the energy drink for report time so, as I worked I drank it (which didn't taste quite as good as it had previously) and that's when it hit. My stomach clenched like someone had punched me and it cussed me out. I was in the throne room for quite some time and it was not pleasant. I don't know if it was the pizza or the drink. I have a sneaking suspicion that it was the drink.
Anyway, I didn't get home until about 10am. I went to bed immediately and didn't wake up until about 5pm. Yup, so when I woke up I went to get the mail and found a package I had been expecting. It was a kitchen cart with wheels to hold our countertop dishwasher. I spent about an hour or so assembling it then made some spaghetti for dinner because I didn't feel like making anything more complex. After I finish writing this I'm probably just going to fall back into bed again.
Topic change. I had a thought today. Being or trying to be skinny is fucking expensive. I'm really self conscious and need to lose a little weight but come the fuck on... how am I supposed to do that when fresh fruit and veggies are over-priced and "diet" food costs your soul (and they don't even give you that much!). Not to mention that a gym membership is way too much too. Cheap, processed, ready-made food is not good at all for the body but it's affordable. I love to cook and am fully capable of making delicious, healthy meals... BUT the ingredients are so expensive. Oh, and why does skim milk cost more than 2%? There's less milk and more water in skim. IT should cost less. Harumph. I'm gunna give some asian cuisine a try because of an article on http://www.asianfoodgrocer.com/ Asians are skinny, it has to be the food. LoL One of these days I'll get to make some shirataki noodles and do a review on how they taste. Also the agar agar. I've never had that before.

Well, the first thing I did was look up "Blue Agave" as I did not know what that was. What I found interested me. Apparently Blue Agave is a Mexican plant and is the base ingredient of Tequila. That may be why I had an upset stomach; Tequila and I do not mix. The Blue Agave flavor was good but I suspect it could have been better without whatever ingredients left a slightly acrid taste on my tongue after I swallowed. It did not taste overbearingly sweet despite 57 grams of sugar. Another plus is that it did not make me jittery like other energy drinks I have tried. I did get a stomache ache after drinking this though. It is possible though that it contained something my body was not used to or something else that I ingested contributed to me getting sick. Overall it gets 3 stars out of 5 from me. It tasted pretty good, woke me up and did not make me jittery. It's too bad I had a worse than normal experience with it.
