That's Lucy, one of our dogs (notice the half-dead desert grass?) She is commonly called Lucy-fer the destroyer of worlds. Why? She destroys everything she comes in contact with. See how happy she is that she covered me and herself with mud? I know she is a dog... but wouldn't it make sense NOT to ruin things that are vital to your survival? Such as the things that contain your food and water? I thought so too. My husband accidentally left the hose hanging into their pen and she played tug-o-war with it. So... now it's time to get a new hose. We're lucky she didn't pull the spigot out of the wall.

I was thinking about some I said a few weeks ago and I think I'm going to make it a part of my frequently used cussing vocabulary. I was making dinner and I took some chicken out of the freezer and put it in the microwave to thaw. Well, apparently it was in there too long defrosting so it began to cook. When I discovered this I became angry and called it "whore chicken". Why? No clue. Whore was the profanity that popped into my head at the moment and I was holding chicken. Thus, "whore chicken" was born.

That's all I have for today. I can't wait till I have a couple days off to get my shit together.
