Clinic 2.0
Once again I'm at work. :) My job's pretty sweet at times. I went back to the clinic yesterday to have my smaller cyst removed. That's pretty much all there is to it. I'm still waiting to hear about the "mass" on my pelvis. It took the doc awhile this time though because it was about the size of a pea. He said something to the effect of, "They advise us to wait until the small ones get bigger because they are hard to catch- like a mouse." LoL But, he did get it out. I can't wash my hair for two days and I'm on antibiotics to prevent infection. I'm gunna be stinkay. :(
I also wanted to write about the California woman who had the octuplets; Nadya Suleman. First, I'd like to say that wanting children and a big family is not a bad thing. I myself cannot wait to start a family, but my hubby wants to wait until more bills are paid. This is a smart idea even though I don't like it. That brings me to my next point. From what I've read and heard, Nadya Suleman had 6 children prior to birthing the octuplets. So, now that she has birthed 8 more babies that brings the total to 14. FOURTEEN BABIES. That is a lot of responsibility and a lot of money to care for them.
What is my personal opinion on this? The lady is a self-centered mental case. Let me explain. She is a single mother of 14 children under the age of 8 and she is a student with no job. She says that when she acquires her degree she will be able to support her 14 children. Ok, that might make sense to her but I do not see it. First of all, She will have to hire someone to watch her children while she's at work, which in turn means she won't be around for her children. And lets face it, it's going to cost her thousands of dollars a month to care for her children. Does she really think she's going to get a job making $200K a year right away? Not likely. That's some great mothering. Note the sarcasm. I just think it's totally irresponsible of her to have all these children without thinking about how she's going to support them. She has to know that people won't let her babies starve. She's going to mooch off the system so she can live her own dream. Not fair to hard working people who prepare themselves financially before having children (I know it doesn't always happen that way) so that their children can be well supported and get everything they need to be healthy and get an education. Taxpayers are paying for her dream. She now has a website accepting donations. I even thought about sending a small donation. I might. I probably will. Not because of her, but for those babies. I will end my rant here. I admire her love of children but disapprove of her irresponsibility.
Oh, and she's obviously had plastic surgery.
Fin.
