Long time no write.

Yes, I am still alive. (Warning: This post will contain numerous photos) Right now it's pretty hot in the house so I have the side door open. Normally our two dogs are in a large chain link pen, but Rini is content to just sit in the backyard. So, she is allowed to roam whilst Lucy must stay in the pen because she runs away and doesn't come back. Back to Rini. On the left you can see that she has strategically located her place of rest so that she may stare at me intently while I type this entry. :) You may also notice that she is very white and fluffy. This is because she and Lucy got a bath today! Observe.

Do not be fooled by Rini's pristine appearence. After I had washed, rinsed and towelled her off she sprinted for the dirt and proceeded to roll in it. So, I had to rinse her again and put her on a leash until she dried. Lucy was actually very good about her bath. She stood still and seemed to enjoy it. After I had rinsed and towelled her off she simply ran around shaking herself. But of course for her photo she made a face and looks dirty. LoL Anyway.

There is not much to report. I finished my math class and got a B+. I'm happy about that. I shouldn't have any more math classes to take. Jon is still laid off, but I worked steadily this pay period so I will be getting a full check. I'm a little worried right now though because I have been off for two days now. We have been doing good though. We don't spend what we don't need to and we put our tax return right into our savings account just incase the worst happens. We have actually discovered a house 5 houses down on the other side of the street for sale. It's my dream home (close anyway), it's perfect for what we need right now and it's on the market for $79,000. We want to get this house because mortgage payments would be about $200 less than the rent we are paying right now. What's really great is that the realtor informed me it has been taken off the market because of a problem with the title and should be ready to sell in a few months. This works great for us because it will give us time to save, get pre-approved for a loan, and according to my boss work should be picking back up in June. So, hopefully that will work out for us. Here's a few pictures so you can see how beautiful this home is. It's been completely renovated. New plumbing, wiring, everything.

Isn't it just beautiful? All hardwood and tile floors. Anyway, moving on. I will have to finish this up quickly because hubby wants to take me out to Chilis (Yay!) so I need to go take a shower. But I wanted to post some pictures of various types of food I've made recently. Actually, there's only two that I have pictures of.

First, are eggrolls. This is the first time I've made eggrolls and I thought they turned out pretty good. They certainly look nice. :) They tasted good but lacked something that I've tasted in other eggrolls. I'll get it figured out.

Next is a low sugar carrot cake that I made last night and frosted this morning. Jon was feeling sad so I decided to make him one of his favorite cakes. We haven't eaten it yet, but it looks pretty. :)

I will try and update more often. That's all I have for now. I'm going to Chilis!

Edit: Also, I had my CT Scan yesterday. I will have to write about that later because I'm starving. Ciao!
